  • CNCF-sponsored co-located events
  • Security Slam - The Security Slam is a new event, partnered with Sonatype, for CNCF projects to improve their security posture while attracting new contributors through a fun and collaborative event leading up to KubeCon, with recognition, awards, and giveaways at KubeCon. If you are a project maintainer, join today before the pre-event work closes on October 19! 
  • Kid’s Day (October 23, 1:00-5:15pm ET) - We are excited to host our first complimentary Kid’s Day in Detroit! The event is targeted at children in the Detroit area and children of KubeCon + CloudNativeCon attendees who are interested in technology, coding, and STEAM fields. This workshop is appropriate for ages 8-14 (kids under 8 are welcome, but they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian). If you are interested, be sure to register by October 17.
  • ContribFest (October 26-28) Contribfest sessions are designed to provide projects with the space and resources to tackle outstanding technical debt, security issues, or outstanding impactful feature requests. They are intended to provide a place for maintainers to meet contributors and potential contributors and work together on solving a problem.
  • Diversity + Inclusion events (October 25-28) - We are excited to offer a variety of diversity + inclusion events at KubeCon + CloudNativeCon including the Visit Detroit DEI Resume Writing Workshop + Networking Session, EmpowerUs Breakfast, DEI lunch, Peer Mentoring + Career Networking, and other onsite resources.
