Istio sails into the Cloud Native Computing Foundation
The CNCF Technical Oversight Committee (TOC) has voted to accept Istio as a CNCF incubating project.
Istio is an open source service mesh that transparently provides a uniform and efficient way to secure, connect, and monitor services in cloud native applications. It provides zero-trust networking, policy enforcement, traffic management, load balancing, and monitoring, without requiring applications to be rewritten.

Our Community Mourns the passing of Cody Crudgington
We have lost someone close to us in the community. Cody Crudgington passed away Tuesday in his home. Details are scant at the moment. But, we will provide any information Cody's family feels comfortable sharing with us so the community can remember Cody in a meaningful way. Cody was an incredible asset to the Kubernetes Community as he frequently spent time giving back to the community in very tangible and personal ways. His commitment to our community will not be forgotten.
