Istio has applied to become a CNCF project
The Istio project is pleased to announce its intention to join the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF). With the support of the Istio Steering Committee, Google has submitted an application proposal for Istio to join the CNCF, the home of its companion projects Kubernetes and Envoy. Read more here!
